1 On 1 lessons
At Sagebrush N Saddles, we believe horsemanship is built on partnership, respect, and a love for the open range. Our lesson program is designed to meet riders where they’re at—whether you’re stepping into the saddle for the first time or refining your skills for the hunt season or trail adventures.
We offer tiered skill lessons so every rider can grow with confidence and purpose:
Tier 1 – Groundwork & Foundations
This tier focuses on safety, confidence, and communication. Riders learn the basics of handling, grooming, tacking, and balanced riding. It’s the perfect place for new riders or those returning after time away from horses.Tier 2 – Building Skills & Connection
Riders begin developing finesse and control, both on the ground and in the saddle. Lessons include arena work, trail readiness, obstacle navigation, and deeper horsemanship concepts focused on understanding the horse’s mind.Tier 3 – Advanced Riding & Discipline Focus
Designed for riders who want to take their partnership to the next level—whether preparing for hunting season, advanced trail work, or specialized disciplines. This tier refines timing, responsiveness, and precision in every maneuver. Each session at Sagebrush N Saddles blends practical riding, horse care, and real-world horsemanship to create capable, confident riders and content, well-rounded horses. Our program emphasizes respect for the horse, mindful communication, and the joy of learning in a down-to-earth, supportive environment.

Group Lessons
Group lessons offer a fun and supportive way to learn alongside other riders while still receiving personalized instruction. These sessions focus on teamwork, communication, and confidence-building — all while maintaining our commitment to safety and horsemanship.
We keep our groups small and focused, with a maximum of 4 riders per session to ensure every participant gets the attention they deserve.
Group lessons are $35 per rider.
Groups are taught by two instructors when needed to maintain a safe and effective teaching ratio.
Group sessions are perfect for families, friends, or riders who enjoy learning in a friendly, social setting — where everyone supports and celebrates each other’s progress.

Tune ups
Our Tune-Up Program at Sagebrush N Saddles is ideal for ridable horses that have had some time off, developed small habits that need correction, or simply need to get back into consistent work. These sessions help reestablish responsiveness, focus, and partnership between horse and rider.
Each tune-up is tailored to the individual horse, focusing on what they need most—whether it’s softening under saddle, improving transitions, rebuilding muscle, or addressing behavioral issues that come from time off. Through patient, consistent work, we help your horse regain confidence, balance, and willingness.
This option is perfect for horses preparing for trail season, hunting, lessons, or just to ensure they’re back in shape and ready for their next step.
* All horses must have proof of current vaccinations and up-to-date hoof care (trim or shoeing) prior to the start of training. Board and feed included, graining at owners expense.

Colt Starting
Starting a young horse is one of the most important chapters in its life — and here at Sagebrush N Saddles, we believe in doing it right, not rushing it.
Our colt starting program focuses on creating a solid, confident foundation through patience, consistency, and clear communication. Every horse is treated as an individual, and training is tailored to their specific needs and mindset. We emphasize softness, trust, and partnership from day one — no shortcuts, no gimmicks.
Colt starting is offered on a 60-day minimum, though some horses may take longer depending on their progress and temperament. We take the time each horse needs to fully understand and accept their new job — because a good start lasts a lifetime.
If you’re looking for a program that puts the horse’s mental and physical well-being first, Sagebrush & Saddles is the right place to begin.
